I've trained SAR dogs since 1974. I've been a sar-dog instructor since 1978 and an assessor since 1980. I've also competed with my dogs in obedience, search and tracking. I've been a competition assessor since 1982. My main interest is developing new and better training methods. One of the methods I have developed is a natural way to teach a dog to retrieve without any demands on the dog. This method uses the principle of classical conditioning, operant conditioning and backwards chaining.
